Somchai “Kamnan Poh” Khumploem

BANGKOK: -- Yesterday, Kobkiat Kasivivat, Deputy Director General of the Department of Corrections, stated that 75-year-old Somchai “Kamnan Poh” Khumploem remained in critical condition after being knocked unconscious from a fall in the bathroom of his VIP room in a Chonburi hospital.

Somchai was admitted to the hospital on Feb. 4 following a request from Culture Minister Sonthaya Khunploem, Somchai’s son, citing that Somchai was suffering from exhaustion and high blood pressure.

The “Godfather of Chonburi” spent only 10 minutes in prison before the transfer.

Aaaaaaw, poor thing, I hope he gets better, so he can actually see the inside of a prison cell.

I guess he was bending over to pick up the soap.

Clearly the hospital is not a safe place for him anymore. Would do much better in a shared cell in prison with a mate to watch over him.

Poor bugger. Getting a bit clumsy now. He's really deteriorating at a rapid rate.

It wasn't so long ago he was being chauffeured about in the Lexus, now this. Funny old thing life, rarely does it turn out how it's planned, even with a few privileges.

Of course, the next step will be for this poor old man to be allowed to go home and spend his last few days with his family. The fact that he'll miraculously recover as soon as he gets home would simply serve as proof of the effectiveness of that step. now, due to his injuries the next thing is to decide he has paid his dues and should be release on probation having already served 'some' prison time

Much safer if his family stayed with him in his VIP room at the hospital..... in case of any more accidents.

Sooner he dies the better then the tax payers money used to keep him hospital can go to rice pledging.

He's beloved and admired. Everyone is concerned that he is okay after the fall, and that he is being held in high style and comfort. Papers are being passed around to change his venue to "house arrest." and they are searching for a monitoring device that won't cause an discomfort. As soon as his health is improved, he will be transferred to one of his properties at his own choosing.

It's nice that some people can find a shiny bit on even the most tarnished and bent bad pennies. Mussolini made the trains run on time, Thaksin helped the poor (allegedly), etc. Somehow these nice people think we should ignore the evil acts that bad people perform on those around them because of some miraculously redeeming characteristic.
