A Traditional Fair in Sung Noen District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province

Nakhon Ratchasima Province, located approximately 260 kilometers northeast of Bangkok, will organize a yearly traditional fair where many interesting activities will be arranged for tourists.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand is cooperating with the Municipal District of Sung Noen (สูงเนิน) and the District Administration in holding this annual fair during March 10th to 12th, 2006. The fair will take place near Muang Kak (เมืองแขก) Castle, Tambon Korat (โคราช) in Sung Noen District of Nakhon Ratchasima Province.

This is the 12th anniversary of the festival. Many interesting activities will be organized at the fair. There will be an academic event where local goods from Sung Noen District will be on sales. In addition, varieties of agricultural, industrial, handicraft and OTOP goods will be displayed and sold in this event at inexpensive prices. Local competitions under His Majesty’s royal initiation will also be held as well.

The grand opening ceremony of the fair will take place on March 10th, and visitors can take part in eating traditional Thai food. Tourists will also see a light & sound presentation where more than 200 performers will be involved, and the show is entitled “Sijanasapura” (ศรีจนาศะปุระ).
