Ownership Transfer Documents?

Hi All

I will be buying a car from Pattaya and then registering it at Hua Hin without the last owner present.

I will have the Blue Book, his passport copy and a receipt for the sale.

I already have Thai driving license and proof of residence.

Are there any other documents required for the transfer please?

Many Thanks

I think you will need a proof of residence immigration letter from the last owner, stating he/her is selling the car..I had to get one of these recently when selling my second hand car.

Yep I think so to on his passport there is no address and they want both addresses former owner and the new one.

Specially when you do this in the transport office close or in Hua Hin they will not pursuit this for you

at the other office in Pattaya.

Hi

Thanks Guys!

I have done research with the Hua Hin Transport office and I can register the car here even though its registered in Pattaya.

I need the following documents for the transport.

1. Power of Attorney Form. (Completed by Seller)

2. Ownership Change Form ( Completed by Seller & Buyer)

3. Proof of Residence from Seller & Buyer

4. Blue Book

5. Passport Copies for Seller & Buyer.

It looks like I can not transfer the car on a 30 day visa tourist even though I have the House Registration Book. Im still waiting for confirmation on this?

I will be making the 1 yr Non Imm visa several days later so this will not be a problem .

I think thats it unless Ive missed something???

Thanks Guys

Hi

Thanks for the posts.

Where does he sign in the Blue Book? is it obvious? Thanks as I missed that one!

I already have the Yellow Book and Thai driving license which I guess helps for proof or residence.

I love the way they make things so complicated here.....all good stuff I guess

Many Thanks

make sure he has signed the blue book

If he forgets to sign it.....Someone else will I'm sure 55555

I also read somewhere that the letter of residence must be dated within a certain amount of time...maybe 1 month???
