Yes, it is certainly a funnel web spider, but "funnel web spider" is a rather general term. Any member of the family Agelenidae is called "funnel web spider". There exist different genera and many different species. In the internet I found some pictures that show a spider exactly like yours.

Definitely won't be one of the Australian funnel webs so I wouldn't worry about the venom too much. Incidentally, the funnel web venom is deadly to primates (humans, monkeys etc) but not to other animals, apart from their natural prey.

Also, I'm pretty sure the funnel isn't intended for prey to slide down. The spider sits in it waiting to feel something walking past, then bursts out and grabs it.
