Does anyone know any talented mechanics -shops in Pattaya area? What I need is someone who has the garage + tools + knowledge to build racing cars.

I have done in my previous life rally racing, and have in mind something similar here now. Cannot stay off from racing and asphalt is not for me. I have found the place suitable for rally-cross or rally-sprint, but have very little local connection to workshops that might sell their service to me.

I have a car already also for this purpose and it needs building + constant repairing when/if the racing takes off. I could do it myself as I have some basic knowledge of this, but I am sure there are many more talented Thais available with the right connections, tools + I sincerely want to just race; now that I finally have the possibility to do it in my life. (When I was young, the money was the reason I never had the opportunities. Now I am too old to be something in the sport, but I want to do it for my own fun and before I get too old.)

I find it difficult to find the information over Thai motorsport web-sites and the shops that I ask here on the streetsides, just give me information that leads me to another monkey-shop where there is some self-learned Isuzu Dragon/Toyota Mighty specialist who does not have a clue of racing cars.

I have some connections to Bira and actually race there sometimes with a go-cart. Those people tehre have not been able to provide me any serious contact for rally.

Maybe there simply isn't one that I am looking for. After all the culture of car racing here seems to be drifting-orientated or Honda track racing.

Hello yes i could help you with this i am also a big Rally /rally cross fan please contact me at email removed and we can talk i live in pattaya also and would like to get into some rally racing again , i can do some mechanical work also as most of my Friends have built rally cars and formula Offroad cars in Iceland where i am from and i have helped most of the time .

There's plenty of rally racing in TH, but it's all pickups...

On Sukhumvit there is a large model of a strongman ,advertizing a gym ,go in to the workshop there ,the owner has about 3/4 racecars ,he builds and races them .
