Where To Buy Ascorbic Acid/citric Acid?

Featured Replies

I have a little bit too much iron in the water of my pool, and need to get rid of the stains on the walls of my glassfiber pool. None of the suppliers of poolchemicals in Phuket I have contacted have anything to offer, but after seasrching the internet I found out that Ascorbic acid easiest will take care of my problem. It's really Vitamin C as white powder, but I don't find anyone to sell it here. I would need 0,5-1 kg. I have tried pharmacies (in my homecountry Norway they seel it there), but here they just say no.

I could also use Citric acid, but would then probably need like 5-6 kg.

Most food suppliers/bakers carry it - if you have no luck I will get my secretary onto it for you. We used to buy in Liquid form. Schmidt in Phuket should be able to help

If you have contact to Germany, the DM (Drogerie Market) sale this for € 1.70/100 gr (in Switzerland 5 times more).

Also Malaysia should be good for this, what I have seen Thailand don't sale raw material rather a tablets Vitamin C.

290 baht pr. kg, so a little bit more than 2000 baht. I cannot remember last time the pool looked this nice and blue, so citric acid really made a good job. Now I will have to find a way to remove the iron in my water before it comes into the pool so I don't get this problem again.
