All of a sudden a nice mango-tree in the garden didn't flower anymore and in between the leaves uncommon leaves were noticed, in fact a bit too late.


It's an aggressive vine which only could be removed by rigorously cutting off the infected branches of the tree, which affected of course the nice shape of the tree.


Now, 2 1/2 years later the shape was coming back but until now no flowers anymore.


I think I was able to identify this pest in a proper way: JAPANESE DODDER, ka faag? (Thai), CONVOLVULACEAE JUSS (CUSCUTA JAPONICA)


Be careful and react fast when you see this vine!
