RT @191Thailand: Fire is on Soi Charoensuk Rama 4 down a narrow alley - RT @FireDept33: รับแจ้งเหตุเพลิงไหม้บ้านในเจริญสุข พระราม 4 เป็นซอยแคบ

wow, that's awfully close to where I used to live.

RT @191Thailand: Soi Charoensuk is a dead end road. Many narrow alleys in that area. Fire trucks cannot get close to the fire.

Well that's handy.

Let's hope everyone was able to get away in time, and perhaps all future buildings will be built where there is access by fire engines.

lets hope they can get it under control soon with so many buildings close together

Is that not bldg with Titanium bar?

Sent with the best of intentions!

No.

Titanium is close to Sukhumvit. The fire is close to Rama 4.

hearing the first copter circling. Any updates? Life coverage? Seems to be a drama developing there.

No. Titanium is within a block or two of Sukhumvit. This is the narrow Soi that comes down from behind Big C.

I don't know if it's just me, but I'm seeing a lot of burned down places all over Bangkok lately. Most of these places are shacks and people that sell something on the street and live right behind their "businesses". There is no easier way to have people have to relocate than by destroying their homes. I know it sounds cynical, but I travel Rama III quite a bit and number of fires lately I've been seeing lately is concerning.

If the fire fighters can not get near, perhaps they should do what they do when fighting forest fires and try and extinguish the fire from the air?

Do they have fire fighting equipped helicopters in Thailand? Seems like that would be the ticket.

I mean, what exactly happened? A power generator overheating or exploding???

Or someone knocked over a pot of oil on a gas stove?

They should take steps in removing all the cooking gas cylinders from the aria if the fire spreads out of control these would explode and cause more fires.

Or someone knocked over a pot of oil on a gas stove?

Or Thainese burning paper money for their ancestors on Tomb Sweeping Festival?

A civil engineer are you? Thoroughly reprehensible how quickly someone who knows nothing has come forward to exploit somebody's tragedy with a cheap shot.
