Bus #s 34 and 39 both run up and down Phaholyothin road between moh chit station and sapphanmai, which is very close to DM airport. I live in sapphanmai but unfortunately I've never gone to the airport by bus, I always take a taxi.

And yes, you need to be light on luggage or they might charge you an extra seat or they might refuse you altogether. The previously mentioned shuttle sounds like a better solution.

Two AC buses that will get you from Don Muang to MRT or BTS are #29 or #510. I would not try to carry a lot of luggage but I have seen pretty large back packs and drag behinds.

I went from Don Muang Airport to Mo Chit (it goes further to Victory Monument too) by BUS 29

There is a pedestrian bridge directly at the airport, go up and down just at the very first exit, it's near, but can easily be overlooked, no signs as far as I remember.

This bus runs even all night. There are 2 types, AC and ordinary, you can take both.

There is an airport bus too, but operations start at 9 am or so - and not by far as frequent as the

29 bus which runs from Rangsit Market to Bangkok Hua Lamphong Railway Station

Cabs inside will try any amount for newbies quoted me 500 to BTS, I laughed

If you go to the bus stop and flag down a metred taxi about 60 baht to the BTS in an air air-conditioned taxi or perhaps 100 on expressway or rush hour.

So for 3o bahts or a $ more than the bus or the very very slow trains your at the BTS where there are ATMS and very tasty chicken pies in the bakery !

Going to Nana/Sukhumvit or Silom on the expressway where you pay the toll should be around 200-400 tho often slower due to the hold up on exit ramps.

I travel to Citrus on Soi 13 and find cab to the ferry at Putumwan and then boat suits me with time for a cold one at the ferry stage. The climb over the gunnel ferries in Klong San Seeb are not for the infirm or 2 bags but I hop on with a Leo and roller trolley for alovely 15 baht cruise and no traffic

For those who like trains or are heading onwards north or South the train is an option nd connects to the MRT at both bAng Sue and the Hualompong terminus.

NB a plus entering theBTS at Morchit terminus is the train is empty.Be careful to sit near a door if loaded as can get very crowded downtown and hard to squeeze out with bags.
