Youtube..... No Sound?

Featured Replies

I don't look at youtube very often but this evening I heard a song by Caro Emerald on BBC Radio 2 so headed over to youtube to seek more of her songs.

I can see the videos but hear no sound.

Going back to the BBC.... clear as a bell. Head over to Vimeo..... no auditory problems at all...... Youtube.... silent.

Any clues folks?

Do other YouTube videos play with sound? If yes, it's YouTube thing and no Hong you can do to fix it. Sometimes they get in the face when they find the sound track to a particular video is copywrited.

Googled her and tried the You Tube links. Tried two and the sound was OK. Sure the slider for You Tube volume (at lower left of the screen) is not on mute?

Thanks Suradit.... what a dimwit I am...... yes the slider was on mute.

Why on earth would they start with it like that?

Anyway, cheers for the help.

Another way to check the sound is to get your wife to talk to you, if she still sounds as boring as the last time she spoke, it's not your hearing! have a good Songkran on Youtube

I think it saves your volume setting from the last time you visited. I'm not inferring anything by the way :)
