I had a friend that ripped up similar to your success in less than a year.

The following year he developed a tumor under his right nipple from the steroids.

5 years on he is a bloated 130kg mess with one tit.

How is your cardiovascular fitness???

My cardiovascular fitness is great as I do a lot of rowing on the rowing machine.

Poor guy your friend, steriods can be dangerous if you have stuff like tumors, problem is you don't always know if you have them or not.

As for my muscles, these were not build in one year, been training for years just had fat covering them.

Yes I do but from home and its more as full time, but i also got my gym at home so i win a lot of time by not having to travel.

It is but for weightloss exercise is important but more important is your diet. I have worked out for years and always real hard too but i only started seeing good results after I got my food intake under control.

I believe you should always combine exercise with diet but that diet plays the largest part but the combination is of course the best of all.

I always follow your posts and I think you are one of the TV pillars.

Posting your fotos on the internet shows real commitment and I appreciate this.

Otherwise, I'm not that good in judging males by them looks... So I asked the wife...

And this is what she said after a short glance:

First picture - A woman hugging her "boy" standing in the ocean solid as a rock... and yes, that's the picture she liked most

Second picture - with the white fur in front of the picture, it looks like the dog took the foto...

Third picture - borderline anorexia athletica

after a brief moment, with lowered voice, she also mentioned, a guy losing that kind of weight would also suffer loss of circumference in the nether regions plus decreased libido.

Not kidding you, that's the verdict of a 20+ years fulltime nurse looking at your pics for about 10 sec.

My nether region is quite fine and I could loose a bit there might even be better. I can tell you one thing since loosing the weight performance in That area has only increased both in stamina and ease of getting hard. As Poanoi commented obesity can lead to erection problems and of course overweight men in general don't have much stamina. It is interesting comment about size there but i doubt there is any truth in there, just an Thai old wives tale as many others.

After reading some on the internet the general opinion is that you gain size on your penis after you loose weight not the other way around. It shrinks as you get fatter mainly because of less testosterone Dr Ozz and other say so.. anyway I don't believe either side and think the thing won't change it will look bigger of course on a lean guy.

It's hard to please everyone the comments are mixed of course but the most important part is I please myself. I have heard people say my muscles are scary, have had girls loving it. In general they like this new look a lot more then the old look.

I do like the claim om boderderline anorexia means im closer then i thought. Just a question are you overweight and might your misses have said something like this not to offend you, it is known to happen.

However it is, im happy and more healthy and that is the point and i posted this to show what was possible that you don't have to give up.

Ido not think less T but more estrogen as fat produces estrogen.

The percentage rose to 50 percent among obese men with diabetes. Results also revealed that as body mass index (BMI) -- a relationship of weight–to-height -- increased, testosterone levels fell.

Longitudinal studies to show how testosterone varies with time as people diet and gain weight would help to sort out the direction of causation. Does obesity lower testosterone or does the causality flow from a testosterone drop causing a weight gain?

Diabetes also might lower testosterone.

>"The effect of diabetes on lowering testosterone levels was similar to that of a weight gain of approximately 20 pounds," says Sandeep Dhindsa, MD, an endocrinology specialist in the UB Department of Medicine and first author on the study.

Obese men could try testosterone to see if it helped take the weight off.

You really look mean Rob, I assume your neighbour stopped complaining?

Imo one can see in the first picture that your muscles are already there under a comfortable layer

of fat, like a soft gentle giant - now you look like serious business.

Imo one can see in the first picture that your muscles are already there under a comfortable layer

of fat, like a soft gentle giant - now you look like serious business.

I am still a gentile giant and i invested in loads of rubber mats and stopped playing ramstein + if i want the music louder i use a headset. You do keep informed about my posting you were not kidding. But now i got 2 layers of rubber mats and they do seem to help a lot and just keep the music a bit softer. I still think it was the music not the actual workout sounds.

Just said that about the muscles because to get these kind of muscles in a year would not be possible when dieting

Ah an English teacher.. I meant of course the kind of muscle mass you see. Sorry in my native language the expression is a bit different.

Problem with me is that any type of exercise for exercise sake, bores me to tears and I cannot keep doing it.

I need to lose a few kilos, just the belly and tone up, but dedicated exercise has never ever interested me and the times I have tried, I just could not continue as the boredom factor kicks in and I lose interest to do it.

I do want to though, but how is my sticky predicament.

It's all about motivation. I've been at it for 37 years and I find most of the exercises boring - especially cardio - but I keep at it. You have to keep your eye on the goal and persevere. Now I'm over 50 there's an extra goal to keep me motivated apart from keeping the physique in good shape.... I need to slow down the rapid deterioration which comes with aging.

It's never going to be easy, that's why there aren't too many people in shape.

Your right if it was real easy everyone would be in shape. Anyway it is possible that was what this is about you are a inspiration to me about what is possible.

I had a long hard think about putting the photos up and decided i would catch some flack but i might motivate some people too. If it was wise.. probably not but just hope to convince some people about exercise.

i have to ask where did you buy the rower and how much.. a lot of decent exercise gear is very expensive here.

I bought the rower in the USA and imported it here i believe around 50-55k bt in total taxes and all. The exact price is int he article i posted about rowing . Once you buy a rower from concept 2 you got one for life its one of the best equipment you can get for the money.

Slyanimal the mod bought one here in BKK for a similar price its somewhere in his new years resolution thread.

Yes good equipment is expensive that is for sure but if you plan on staying here and plan on exercising it MIGHT pay itself back. I have been working out here in Thailand since i came here 7 years ago. Not sure it has paid itself back in gym membership but at least it paid itself back in results.

Besides the rower i invested in some really good dumbbells and some other gear and i am proud to say i got a gym now that really does all that i need.

Good photos pretty hard for guys over fifty to get that sort of shape naturally.

Possible but for most people probably unattainable.

Ideally thou you should do something you really like. That is why I like team sports for cardio and social activity.

Weight training is always a bit tougher as you do it alone usually. The main thing is to get into a habit and routine and set some realistic goals. You can spend as little as an hour a week and get respectable results from weight training as long as you do it correctly. Small amount of time for feeling better and looking better I reckon.

You should always do something you really like for some reasons i do like weight training plus its so easy to go up the steps and into my own gym.

Squash is much more than aerobic thou as a game of squash tests your cardiovascular system, your anaerobic fitness and your muscular strength. You must be capable of repeated bursts of explosive movement with little time to recover in between, and you must be stable, flexible and strong enough to handle twists, lunges, hard landings and fast reversals.

Most squash players are very strong in the legs, back , abdomen, all the lower body really.

To train for squash you need to do some weight training and you need to try and some HIT training.

You should try to take low fated food and also avoid to eat fast food. With that must have to do exercise. In exercise, I think cycling and swimming are best exercise for this purpose.

Now that you are ripped you will have to get a bigger gold chain. Or at least a big medallion if you keep the current chain.

I keep the chain because my parents gave it to me at age 16 when i graduated a school. So it has sentimental value.. I never take it off.

Good work Robblok! It's all mind over matter, setting your goals and sticking to the plan. Something that is quite hard for a lot of folks who lack self discipline. I would think it would be twice as hard in Pattaya with all the distractions and places to eat, drink and be merry. Calorie counting is the only way I can keep a tally on daily intake.

Wait till you hit 50. Things just stop working (no, not that) as they did when you are younger and you have to work twice as hard to maintain physical condition. Monitoring your endocrine system and keeping it in balance is vital to health and well being. I was diagnosed as being hypothyroid and low-T around the age of 52 and once that was straightened out, I was able to drop the last abdominal fat that just wouldn't go away. We have different goals though. I am working toward lean muscle mass instead of bulk. Nothing wrong with bulking up, but I cycle 50k a day and only push weights twice a week. At 6'2" tall and weighing 192lbs, I am 4 pounds off the optimum for my height.

Once you become cognizant of the state of health of your body and make it a priority, it becomes easier to maintain a healthy lifestyle through diet and exercise. People ask me how I stay in such good shape now that I'm in my late 50's and I tell them there is no secret, it's all about diet and exercise.

There is a line out of a Jimmy Buffet song that goes, "you treat your body like a tent, I treat mine like a temple". Truer words were never spoken.
