A PKR leader claims that a top Thai police officer and his wife, who were witnesses, have been detained by the Malaysian police.

PENANTI: PKR has claimed that a Thai police colonel and his wife have been detained by the Malaysian police.
The colonel, according to PKR supreme council member Badrul Hisham Shaharin, was part of a team probing the allegation that the sex videos which implicated Anwar Ibrahim were made in Thailand.

Speaking at a ceramah here last night, Badrul told the crowd that PKR was tipped off by a reliable source that the video was made in Thailand using a clone.

Following the tip-off, he said a check found that the Thai police had investigated the matter. It was supposedly produced in Hatyai.

He claimed that the Thai police aborted the probe following a directive from Malaysia.
Upon receiving the information, he said Pakatan Rakyat executive secretary Shabrimi Sidek went to Hatyai to collect the evidence and bring back the witnesses to Malaysia.

However, Badrul said Shabrimi and the witnesses – the Thai police colonel, his wife and another unknown Thai man – were stopped at the Bukit Kayu Hitam border checkpoint by Malaysian police.

They were taken first to a nearby police station, then kept under custody in the Kedah police contingent headquarters in Alor Star.

Badrul said lawyers could not have access to the detainees.

However, he said Shabrimi managed to contact PKR’s executive secretary Raden Shamsul Kamar at 6pm yesterday via his mobile phone to inform about his alleged arrest.

Badrul then played the audio recording of the telephone conversation.
The media and the crowd were disappointed when PKR only aired the audio recording of a telephone conversation between Shabrimi and Raden.

Prior to this, it was reported that a Thai national, who was supposedly the clone used in the sex videos, would make an appearance at the ceramah.

At the same ceramah, PKR Sungai Petani MP Johari Abdul showed a video allegedly showing Thai police forensic evidence apparently trying to prove that Anwar was not the actor.

PKR was to have revealed the Anwar look-alike who was the supposed actor in the sex videos at the ceramah last night.

Harakahdaily.net had quoted Permatang Pauh parliamentary representative Zainol Saad yesterday as saying that all the accusations against Anwar will end when the actor comes forward.

“Umno and BN will be trapped again. The kampung people will not believe this allegation again,” he said.
Zainol had claimed that the allegations are part of an Umno plot to embarrass the top leadership of Pakatan Rakyat.

Usually the Thai police stick with what they know. If they start messing in Malaysian politics, they will come unstuck. The political temperature now in Malaysia is through the roof with the election coming up and the government with its back to the wall.

Does the Royal Thai Police not know if they have " lost " such a senior officer ? The report says a party member was in Thailand to take the witnesses back to Malaysia but I presume the Colonel would need official permission to leave the country. The Thais supposedly abandoned the investigation on a directive from Malaysia so since when could the Malaysians tell the Thai BIB what to do ? Can't wait for Episode 2

Just ting tong, yet stopping them getting in to testify shows someone is VERY scared of them getting in to testify. This is clearly a huge potential embarrassment for someone in the government. The sure do hate Anwar near the top over there.

Apparently this sex video is of Anwar, or lookalike, with a woman. So where does that leave that sodomy allegations from a few years ago? >_>

That would depend entirely on your definition of Sodomy. In which case it could refer to sex with either a male or a female, as long as the *ahem* back nine is being played, or the tradesman's entrance is being used (you get the picture).

So in terms of the Anwar allegations - all bases are covered.

Since when do the Malaysians tell the Thai police what to do? Truly a bizarre story. But, it would be hilarious if it turned out that all the allegations against Anwar were provably false, and that the vids were made in Thailand.

Presumably someone would get done for filming porn movies in Thailand. LOL.

The notion that Anwar was set up by a fake video wouldn't surprise anyone.

But the rest of this story strains credibility. Episode 2 should be interesting if the whole thing is not hushed up. Certainly Thailand's PTP doesn't want to upset the current Malaysian government & this has the potential to do just that.

As the Anwar smear campaign was orchestrated during the time of Mahathir's reign it wouldn't take too much of a stretch of the imagination it assume that he gave his old buddy Charlem a tinkle on the blower and offered him the gift of another effeminate coloured car if he called the dogs off.

I am assuming the Thai police colonel was doing the investigating and was on official business. Why was his wife with him?

This story is so bizarre it's difficult to follow the "facts". I read it twice and it still sounds crazy.

Anwar is as bad as Najib. He was part of the UMNO insiders for a long time promoting racism against the Chinese and Indian minority.

I met him once when he fell of a horse at the Penang Turf Club in the early 90's.

He is a power hungry guy and at one time controlled a large amount of funds including several UMNO linked newspapers. Many of his cronies (UMNO linked) controlled some large companies during his time as the Finance Ministry.

I have no likes for people like Mahathir but Mahathir was the PM and he gave a lot of time to Anwar to resign as FM and Deputy PM or toe in his line in pegging the Ringgit.

He could have just accepted the policies from Mahathir and 2-3 years later he would have been able to make the changes after he took over as PM from Mahathir and reformed Malaysia.

I prefer if PKR wins, the next PM would be Lim Kiat Seng or even Anwar's wife Wan Azizah but for god's sake not Anwar as he carries tons on luggage during his time in the UMNO machinery.

Thailand the hub of clones! w00t.gif

First Thaksin and now Anwar !

These "hub of..." statements don't get stale and unoriginal at all, do they? There's a huge element of excitement anticipating what the next one will be, complete with the amusing icons.

Small things amuse small minds.

More crass stupidity and childishness. Wow did they actually have sex and film it? What an awful crime against humanity that must be mmm.

Once again stupid prohibition, now on porn which should be freely and legally available to all adults who want it, provided there are no pond life paedophiles or snuff movies or other unwilling participants involved of course. All so totally irrelevant in solving real crimes and running the country etc.

Grow up and get real as porn is watched by probably more than 80% of the population of most civilised countries so get real and stop the prohibition at least for normal adults, sure protect kids and folk who do no want it shoved in their faces (meant literally so no pun intended here). Lets catch the real criminals shall we, those that do assault and murder other folk and rob and damage other peoples' property and try to at last stop wasting time on all this childish stupidity.

Remember prohibition does not work and never will, so let us all say no to unnecessary prohibition at least for normal adults hmmm..

Am impressed that Malaysia is now at the forefront of cloning. Unfortunately, it seems like they're wasting the technology on cloning politicians. Sad state of affairs... rolleyes.gif

I only know of one clone in Thailand.

The video was made here in Thailand.

Now t

That doesn't leave room for a lot of different scenes.WPFflags.gif
