I just posted this in one of the pinned threads but maybe should have posted here, so am pasting it below

Looking hard for a flight to New York with stopovers both ways at either London or Paris (preferably Paris) - departing early June return end July. (My actual start is Chiangmai but I don't mind spending overnight in BKK if departure is too early in the morning.) A flexible return date from NYC & Paris/London (or cheaply penalized change) would be the cherry on the cake.

A good business class fare? A star alliance combination would be good for the air miles, but not the primary consideration. Complicated I know, but any pointers that I might usefully follow up? Most grateful for advice from knowledgeable tv travellers.

Budget? NYC (EWR, JFK, LGA) or do you have a specific preference? (NYC can be used in GDSes and includes all 3 airports).

Typically a single stop-over and/or open-jaw would yield the most cost-effective routing.

Summer (Memorial Day to Labor Day) is Peak season for North American travel.

Thank you, gentlemen, for the responses. If I may fill out the picture - and test your patience!

I'd like to leave around the 7th June (+/- up to 4 days) to Paris; after that I want to arrive at NYC on the 20th precisely (inflexible because I have to be in central Manhattan that evening).

Return to Paris around the 15th (again very flexible - and with the option of date changes). Paris to BKK (or Chiangmai) would be approximately end-July (up to 2 weeks later is fine with me).

I'm also wondering if a one-way tkt BKK/Paris, but round trip for Paris/NYC/Paris might be a good idea because I foresee going to Paris fairly regularly, so I could buy and use a return tkt bought there - if that saves me money eventually.

Finally, I'm open to 'open jaw' itineraries in both America and Europe - I'm presuming that means the return departures might be from another city in America and/or to a city other than Paris (ideally London).
