Cnx To Phuket; Any Discount On Airfare For A 6 Year Old Kid?

Im planning an airline trip from Chiang Mai to Phuket and will be taking my 6 year old. Does anyone know if he will have to pay full price for a ticket? I dont see anything about it on any of the airlines websites, so Im guessing he pays normal fare.

Also, Im not sure what documents, if any, he will need to board. Birth certificate? ID card?

Depends on which airline your planning to travel, not sure about budget but Thai for example gives discounts to under 12 (or did). In the past I've never had to produce documents for kids

Thanks. After checking around one of 2 airlines give 10%, AIr Aisa gives no discount.
