Deadlocked Between Trump and Harris in NBC News Poll as Election Approaches
Here is a little data on the current state of the race: Despite media reports, there isn't a big groundswell for Trump. Three months ago, Trump was planning to contest Virginia, New Hampshire and Minnesota. He dropped those plans after the Dem Convention, and he's still not campaigning in those states. If the race is close, then turnout is everything. Early voting is predictive of turnout (ignoring 2020 early voting as a baseline) and the Dems are dominating early voting. Trump's GOTV operation is non-existent, as he relies on outside help. This may be a fatal error. -

Wasn’t that you that posted last week about taxi drivers not being able to charge 500-1000 baht for a few kilometers trip because people choose Grab, so we should use regular taxis and everyone should tip them even if they don’t use the meter because they don’t make 80k/month anymore? I could be wrong. -

Just don't under estimate the power he holds over the MAGA ites! but even KH with her lackluster history maintains an even poll count for whatever that means. But even if he loses the vote, he and his followers will never accept that defeat and then the true destruction of the US democracy will unfold IMHO anyway. He even admits to talking privately with Putin after he left the presidency and we are already aware that he held "private" talks with Putin without any record allowed during his presidency yet people still think that he is pro-American instead of pro-Russian even when he campaigns and states that very fact. I as an American, former military, civil servant, etc sure as hell do not support him in the very least. I also do not believe that KH would make a good president. She will only be the pawn most likely of the rich and powerful DEMs. Again IMHO. -

I can tell you that following an ambulance in an emergency where i am from is illegal. Many drivers take the opportunity to follow for passing other cars . The family following at speed could cause more grief. -

I'm reposting the following because a poster said they could not differentiate between fact and option in some of the things I write but there wasn't a single acknowledgement. That usually means that those in doubt, read it and had an, "ah yes, that's right", moment and went elsewhere to try and forget! I just want to make sure that we're all on the same page and that the above applies to everyone, not just to me. There was, for the longest time, a notice at the top of the thread that clearly stated that the thread contained only individual opinions. That should hardly be necessary and should go without saying because the forum rules clearly say that factual statements in threads such as this, must be supported by a supportive link. Rule 5 says: "In factual areas such as news forums and current affairs topics member content that is claimed or portrayed as a fact should be supported by a link to a relevant reputable source". https://aseannow.com/forum_rules/ That means that everything that is written in the thread is opinion, unless there is a supportive link, does that really come as any surprise to anyone! So what's the beef? If people don't like somebody's opinion, disagree with it, isn't that what people are supposed to do here! And if people can't separate the fact from the opinion, based on the links provided, perhaps they are over their heads trying to participate here and shouldn't. If somebody wants to challenge statements that I portray as fact, read the link provided. If there's no link, it must be opinion, if you don't like it or have a different one, say so (if you want) or else ignore it. I'm going to make some assumptions from time to time that the simple obvious things in life are accepted as fact, without having to provide links but if somebody feels the need to see one (and I know some of you will do this relentlessly) feel free to ask for one. This is pretty basic modus operandi. don't you think!!! -
