Dont think this bloke's got a hope in hell of playing/starting regularly at Liverpool, atm he just ain't a Rodgers player

but if hoollaroy got him scoring b4, maybe he will do again , 4 sure he aint shy of goal

and he just so much reminds me of ray kennedy and tbh as his touch improves i see him dropping deeper and deeper.

Despite all the criticism that goes Wenger's way I thought Arsenal overachieved last season.

Considering Wenger's had a net spend of something like 9 million, I'd say he's been overachieving since 2006....

you see him as a defender alfie?, i was thinking eventually, more of a solid holding midfielder sitting in front of the defense, with the occasional foray forward

Sky Sports News reckon PSG have bid 43 million quid for Cavani, and Chelsea are in as well.

Also that Everton are supposed to be buying Kone.

which is ofcourse an Arsenal supporters way of answering the question as to how silverware much they've won since 2006laugh.png

We got a massive new stadium out of our thriftiness.

What exactly have you got for your 235 million since 2003? Ah yes, a League Cup.

Excellent value.

Yes you have built a good stadium for watching football. Its just abysmal for creating atmosphere....which dissipates rather than reverberating.

No comment on the gooner fans....not in this post at least. ;)

playing surface at the emirates is very impressive though.

Is it true Real Madrid played there and poached the head groundsman?

I believe it is. Mind you he'd won head groundsman of the year in the PL every year I think.

It was a great atmosphere last time we thrashed your pub team 5-2. And the time before that. And the time before that.

if he cuts grass that well he could probably do a good Brazilian.

Fair does though, if you do a job as well as he does...working class hero eh?

Well his #2, Paul Ashcroft, took over and promptly won Head Groundsman of the Year as well. And Smokie says we don't win silverware.

just for the record; last 14 game arsenal won 4 spurs won 5 the rest draws

and goal difference is admittedly to the arsenal by 5.

Better change the record then, it doesn't seem to get you anywhere.

head groundsman teach young groundsman very well

Burgess was there 12 years, Ashcroft 11. Not much difference in age....

Swansea won it this year with Dan Duffy

Arsenal's Paul Ashcroft won it in 2012

Man City's Lee Jackson won in 2011

Jon Calderwood of Aston Villa 2010

I would hardly call that Arsenal winning it every year Chiqy. And this year PSG have poached Paul Ashcroft.

Never let the facts interfere with a good story Chicog.

I wish them both well.

Very impressive grass.

William Hill have stopped taking bets on Luis Suarez joining Arsenal, after numerous bets emanating from Spain.

Yes, and Arsenal are also signing Messi for 20 pence. **

There's more chance of Jonjo Shelvey signing for Arsenal, and he's just gone to Swansea for 5 million.

** And a Cadburys Creme Egg

You may think it unlikely, but there has to be SOME substance behind the story.

Its not just nonsensical newspaper hype.

On Friday the bookies were quoting 33/1 and upwards for Suarez to join Arsenal. They are now 7/4 and 2/1 in most places.

For an organisation like William Hill to STOP taking bets, then that means a number of substantial amounts have been bet, which means that someone knows something that the general public do not.

An update to the above.

William Hill have just reopened their book, at 6/5.

Which basically means that they think there is as much chance of Suarez joining Arsenal as there is of him going to Real.

What are the odds on him staying JD?
