Advice Needed Ford Ranger Wildtrak 3,2

Featured Replies

Hello members,

I just looking for some advice from members here.

I ordered 18 months ago Ford Ranger Wildtrak 3,2 in Bangkok Rama 2 showroom.

Pay deposit and waiting, I know it will take long but...

I'm waiting untill now, i found already 2 people who got same car which they ordered 10 and 12 months ago.

Contacting shop every moths they still saying same wait.....Even now showroom is not there anymore and they change to Mitsubishi showroom, but small office in back still running for Ford customers.

Try to contact Ford Thailand, but only reachable is their helpline, no address or proper customer service.

I just thinking I got scammed and their sold my car for somebody for small bribe.

Everybody saying wait wait this is not our problem.

I never will believe I will waiting for car 18 months this is just unbelivieble, What I can do now, where I can get info about my real que position?

Of course can cancel my order take money back, but dont want to lost my car and waiting one more year somewhere.

This is very bad reputation for Ford in TH!

Thanks if somebody can help.

The queue position is for the queue at the showroom, not the factory. So how quickly/slowly you get your truck depends on how many trucks the showroom will get.

18 month wait is both amazing and ridiculous.

Ford motor company has no respect for the Thai market. When you buy a vehicle, you are also buying customer service bcs you will need periodic maintenance, repairs/recalls, parts, etc, so that should factor into your buying choice. Support a different brand. That is my opinion.

The position of the 3.2 is very uncertain already for more than a year.

Forget the car and check out other options.

You could try a more direct, higher up the food chain contact in Ford (I expect freemindxs is helping with that)... but don't get too hopeful.

The fact remains that Ford obviously have serious problems delivering the 3.2L Wildtraks - there's simply no acceptable excuse as to why they can't schedule production runs and fulfil outstanding orders... So at some stage you just have to give up, and move to a brand that has proper supply chain and production line management.. (i.e. everyone else).

I know is queue position in showroom, but last reply from showroom is Ford stopped delivery of all cars to them, because they are not their dealer anymore. I know one person who ordered car 7 months later from there and got car already.

I think Ford has to deliver cars for customers which pay deposit and order cars in FORD showrooms.

Very very strange.

I have already wrote on another tread about the same problem. I waited 8 months and was number 4 on the list and never moved. The level of service and interest from the sales man was zero. We canceled the order last week and the sales man just said he understood but have to wait 4 months for refund. Now for a word of advice go look at BT-50 pro 3.2 the level of help and interest from the Mazda sales man and the dealership owner(Chumphon) was refreshing and professional and we test drove the truck and paid deposit. He has guaranteed delivery for

October when we are in Thailand the next time. Have a look I think you might be impressed and the look I now like it !

8 + 4 months = 1 year. I wonder what rate of interest is on that account.

True but it is only on 5k but if you multiply all the 5000 on deposits it probably adds up to a lot.

Sorry, it's classified but the OP is really enjoying his 3.2 now.

If it was me I would have logged a complaint with the Thai Police.Assuming you have proof of payment at the very least Ford will have to account for the whereabouts of your ordered car; being out on the road or in some stock yard.

Do they have your deposit in the bank making a little interest. ?

Been waiting 5 weeks now for some exhaust gaskets to put my Ranger back together, only been 8 months since I last drove it.

Ford Thailand are the most useless bunch of people I have EVER had to deal with.

Anything else you want to complain about. You said you had the motor already why would your exhaust gasket be broken.

Not a complaint merely a reflection on how Ford treats its customers. btw when you put an engine together you usually use new gaskets, well I do anyways.

If you would like me to complain I reckon you will here it when I discover the injectors are no good because they just threw them into the back of the pickup without a thought of wrapping them up.

Only 18k (each) to replace but hey, thems the breaks when you deal with Ford.

I'm not blaming you or Ford but if I knew the injector's were in the back unwrapped I would have taken care by now. I don't believe this break's the deal with Ford there is more to this story that you are not telling. Why not open a new post and detail line for line what has happened and why as it's all over the shop and hard to find where fault lies. I think many would be interested to know.

All of this confirms why I have bought 3 ISUZUs here in Thailand the service is the best I have seen any where in the world

John,

Spoonman has been through all manner of issues with Ford and all has been well documented on this forum. If you have some time spare, check out his post.

Give him a break as this bloke deserves it.

I love the Ranger but can't bring myself to order one given the reports, poor service and waiting list from cars to even parts.

Anyone with a 3.2 Ranger/BT-50. keep an eye on the technicians that change your oil.

Ford Thailand are the most useless bunch of people I have EVER had to deal with.

Exhoust gaskets can be made at some exhoust shop. There are several shops who can produce exhouse- or manifold- or head gaskets. It doesn't have to be original

+ AC gaskets + Inlet Gaskets + Flywheel Bolts + Spigot Bearing + broken damaged coolant hoses + damaged intercooler hoses + Broken Diesel Pump + Other assorted bolts.

Anywho it is all here now and engine being lifted in this afternoon and should be running soon provided nothing else was damaged by the incompetant morons who pulled it apart.

Fingers crossed the injectors that were found laying in the pickup tub in a puddle of slop that was combined of dirt/oil/coolant are ok. god only knows how long they would take to arrive let along their expense (I heard they are Bt,16,000 ea).

also need to find a fuse box mount as mine is missing, why the fuse box was pulled I have no idea.

Why on earth would they use this type of pump, as if it takes ooodles of power to drive an oil pump blink.png.

Can you imagine the possible future problems when oil is changed in a non main agent to find there is no oil pressure w00t.gif .

Just asking for trouble.........facepalm.gif
