Ais Here On 2100 Yet?

Featured Replies

i called up ais and Preregistered for 3g on 2100

they then sent me an sms last week saying i could go in and get my new sim card but haven't bothered yet.

Just dial 1175 number an follow instructions

I don't understand why there should be a need SIM card. It should just depend which frequencies the mobile device is using.. and possibly some configuration on the mobile operator subscription database.

Currently using the 3G on the AIS 900 band

I have a Galaxy Nexus which supports:

Compatible networks

GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900
HSPA 850/900/1700/1900/2100

so what's the point of swapping to the 2100 band? Less people on it and less congestion? or does higher frequency = better speed (I doubt it)

I agree

While in Germany I also had to get a new SIM card (same number) I did not sign up for 3G AIS. It just works.
