Somtamnication Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 Hypocrisy 8-). Oh! and Conflict of Interest.
Zooheekock Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 In a similar vein, one could probably add 'clueless imbecile', 'witless fool', 'geriatric bellend' and 'uneducated cretin' to the list.
Paangjang Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 Clock. They have a lot of trouble with that word. Of course it's easier if you pay them for their time.. Surely they would never except money for that?
ChrisB87 Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 Clock. They have a lot of trouble with that word. Yeah...i've been teaching my girlfriend English for 4 years now and she still has a problem with clock Clock. They have a lot of trouble with that word. alt=clap2.gif width=31 height=25> And using one!!!! alt=cheesy.gif width=32 height=20> I don't think you understand the joke.
Phatcharanan Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 I think that most of you are missing the point. Some excellent posts here but the fact remains that given the limited time you have to teach them, you are NEVER going to turn them into native speakers or anything closely resembling. Give up on having a laugh at students expense and concentrate on communicative skills. So what if the pronunciation is not correct...........the question is, do you understand what they are saying? 1

Well if they said Sam Allardyce is the best manager in the premier league, I think I might have a problem.
cardholder Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 "borrow" Difficult from them to say and they definitely don't understand the meaning or concept? I think you will find that "REPAY" is a tougher concept, the "borrow' part comes second nature.....
Traxster Posted August 25, 2013 Posted August 25, 2013 My friends used to like brining me a bag of 'fruits'.... and I loved them for it.
