Embarrassment for Australia as German criminal escapes in Thailand

Phuket Immigration: Deporting, blacklisting foreigners for drug charges since 1979

PHUKET: -- Following the recent spate of foreigners being charged with minor drug offenses, the chief of Phuket Immigration today confirmed that all foreigners arrested for drug use, or any drug-related offense, are transferred to Bangkok and deported – following the Immigration Act BE 2522.

PHUKET: -- Police have posted a YouTube video showing the man they believe committed the gold shop murder-burglary in Phuket on April 8 in the hope that members of the public can identify him.

More rain expected in Northeast

BANGKOK, 28 May 2013 (NNT) - More heavy rains are expected in the Northeast during May 30 to June 1.

The Meteorological Department warned that due to a southwestern monsoon covering the Andaman Sea, scattered thundershowers can be expected in the Central Plains, the East and the South. As strong winds will also generate up to 2-meter high waves, all ships should proceed with caution.

In the Northeast, thunderstorms will strike many provinces, including Nong Khai, Bueng Kan and Udon Thani.

Widespread downpours will also hit most southern provinces on the Andaman coast such as Ranong, Phang Nga and Phuket.

Bangkok and its vicinities will see scattered rain in the West and East during the afternoon and the evening.
