Thinking of going to the chelsea match in July,

missus has a thing about Jose, The roof side

seems the best side, but want to know if you

can get a decent view from the upper tier at

1500 baht, or worth going for the secondary

tier at 2500 baht, forget 3000 baht for lower

tier.

A couple of years ago I went to the Chelsea game and had the 1,500 tickets that were next to the pitch on the uncovered side. No complaints (as it didn't rain) and I have bought the same this year. Just a personal preference, but I like to be close to the pitch - dodgy eyesight. :-)

Wherever you go take a cushion and a good book. I went to the Liverpool vs Thailand game and it was the most boring thing I have ever had to put up with (and I have been to the opera!). The thais were supporting both sides so there was no atmosphere or banter. I left in the second half, it was that or pluck my eyes out with a spoon.

I will never ever go to a friendly again.

I went too. It was painful. Had eye surgery straight after the game.

As i have mentioned before these games are not about the actual football especially for us farang it is just an excuse to meet up with old faces and have a cracking day out on the piss.

In the stadium itself is probably the low point of the day unless you meet up with some lovely friends or are with a good bunch of lads that are having a good time.

If i find a good bar outside and am comfortable i may not even venture in....tongue.png

I went to Abroath with my old mates I hadn't seen for near 20 years last month....we had a great night but in the ground we all dispersed and I met a lad on a stag weekend from Wigan....they had decided that our game was the biggest on in Jockland that weekend.....great crack for the whole game.....certainly put the world to rights but could do nothing to prevent the result.

At least he was used to watching a losing team.

10/10 for the pies.....they were shit when I used to go every week back in the 80's. biggrin.png
