ExpatJ
I am looking to make an investment related app- was wondering if anyone has made their own app (or paid someone to make it for them)? Would be very interested to learn of your experience e.g. costs involved, who you used, App pricing, success or otherwise of selling the app... ChatterRat
My past experience is mostly with Java apps (J2ME), butas you are not getting any replies yet may be I can help a little. Tonight on BBC Radio 4 there is a program about the appindustry which may answer some of your questions. It can be accessed via the internethere: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01snmp2 This is the blurb: Evan Davis meets "appreneurs" trying to make money in a marketplace wheretraditional business rules do not apply. Becoming an appreneur is easy. All youneed is a computer and a couple of hundred pounds. And an idea of course. Nosurprise perhaps that thousands of new apps are created every week to serve theever growing smart phone and tablet computer market. But what happens next? Howdo you make a living if your product is free? And if you sell your app, howhigh can you go when buyers expect a lot for very little? And how do you marketto customers without knowing who they are? Tonight 20:30 UK time, should be available after that time via the iplayer(radio programs are accessible from Thailand unlike TV) for you to listen to at yourleisure.
