Hotel/apartment/condo Which Allow Large Dogs

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'll be visiting Bangkok for about a week, and I'll be bringing my dogs also. Most places said they can accept dogs under 10Kg, but one of mine is around 35Kg.

There will be 5 of us travelling together, so an apartment/condo will even even do.

Most places I called were either too expensive or didn't accept large pets.

Appreciate if someone could suggest some places.

Thanks

Hi,

do you now of any good places where I could find listings? Oakwood residencies allows but their rates to keep a pet is quite high. Others only allowed small pets.

This thread has some suggestions which might help- depends on the budget-

This link here has a pretty good summary of hotels that will take bigger dogs- not to get your hopes up but it's not a big list and the surcharges are pretty high and the list is from two years ago. I guess the other option would be to find somewhere to board your dog.

Might get a better response if you ask in the pet forum here- http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/forum/81-plants-pets-vets-in-thailand/

Good luck.

If by '5 of us' you mean yourself plus 4 dogs, I would strongly advise against it.

Logistical issues aside, it will be almost impossible to find any hotel that will permit this (at a reasonable price).

You could rent a large townhouse, in a 'moo-ban' .

However, based on the fact that you're only coming for a week, don't think many landlords will rent out a townhouse, just for a week.

The very last option is to leave your dogs at a 'dog boarding' place, I know there are some around town (Chaeng Wattana/Rangsit), and not too expensive either.
