State Pensions, Australia & Others

Featured Replies

my quack says l can get disability. Tell me if you can at age of 62 what is best insurance to get in thai

You will find that it takes much more the advice of your local GP ... there is an assessment process you will have to (thankfully) satisfy.

to my knowledge, the disability pension @ 65 now reverts to the OAP ... so the wait period might still be 2 years in Australia before the age of 65.

PLease. Lets not make it another UK pension thread crazy.gif

Better not. Over 2500 posts on this one already. But is the UK Pension-System so complicated, that it is cause for over 2500 posts???

Cheers.

Believe me, its so complicated it would result in 25000 posts if people even understood 10% of it !

State Pension in Ireland is €230 (8,510 baht) a week. Is that better or worse than Australians State Pension ? Sorry for hijacking your thread OP.

.

That's great money!

Aussie pension (single) is $733 per fortnight, around 466 British Pounds or 21,000 Thai Baht.

The UK basic state pension is a bit less than half that.
