Anyone Experience Regarding This Device?

Featured Replies

Anyone has experience with this detector? There are like so many out there which seems to go off on a 7eleven door already and ofcourse this is not what I'm looking for.

I received this email from Groupon Thailand having a discount on one, http://www.mygroupon.co.th/deals/shopping_en/Speed-Sensor-Detector-May-2013-/717044503?nlp=&CID=TH_CRM_1_0_0_153&a=715828136

No I'm not affiliated with Groupon lol, just wondering if anyone has this one before I buy one and test it put myself :)

So far I only had one speedingticket which was sent to my homeaddress in Khonkaen for 400baht with a picture as well, so it's not worth buying one for saving costs I guess, but I do like gadgets and it seems cool, but obviously I like it to work well :-)

Thanks

Aren't these things illegal here ?? A GPS also can show if you are approaching the speed limit !

A normal GPS as in navigation I already have but it does not detect speedlaserguns and such.

Perhaps it's illegal, so is speeding lol :)

I'm no expert, but from what I've read on Thai forums It's generally accepted that if you want a good detector that actually works and doesn't false alarm, it's going to be a Bell or Whistler, which will cost around double this money in TH (many vendors pitching them).

That said, you can also probably expect to be asked for tea money at every checkpoint where an officer spots it... So maybe not that economical anyway ;)
