Best Food in Pattaya Award

If we are going to list "dishes," I have to add one more: beef and bell pepper w/ black bean sauce at the China Garden (Soi Buakow). I ate there the other day. It was the first time in 20 years that I have had any dish in Thailand that reminded me of actual Chinese food. On a scale of 1-10, and recognizing that I lived in China for three years and have eaten Chinese food all over the USA, I would give it a 3, but that is better than virtually all of the other crap that is supposed to be Chinese food. The beef was good...the sauce was very similar to black bean sauce....vegetables were also good....atmosphere good. Downsides: overpriced, small bowl of rice, small serving of the dish. But TIT, at least there is one decent Chinese dish in Thailand. Now I am curious if anything else on their menu is good.
