Pleas
I was in need of a good podiatrist. I asked and received 3 replies a few weeks past. Good info suggested. Dr. Tanawat Vaseenon (www.tanawatclinic.com) is currently making orthotics for me. This forum is valuable indeed. Thanks to everyone who participates. You are appreciated.
uptheos
I'm pleased you have had a good experience with Dr. Tanawat. He's an orthopaedic surgeon who specialises in foot and ankle surgey, but it's not until you go to his clinic that you realise he can sort out other problems, as in your case. The old guy there who makes orthotics etc, supposed to be quite good and if they are not right, you have the Dr. right there to help sort any problems. He's a young guy, very personable and even if your problem is not orthopaedic related, he is happy to look at your problem and point you in the right direction. E.g. I had a wound on the bottom of my foot from a surgical procedure (not ortho related) that just wouldn't heal. He provide me with Hydrogel ointment and dressing. The wound was completely healed in three weeks.

I don't know about 1/3 the cost because now there are a lot of different choices with heat molded ones for half that that price in the US. I got pretty fancy ones from the guy who makes Lance Armstrong's orthotics. $250 from Russ Bollig who is owner of Podium Sports in Denver. It sounds like they are sending away to a lab and that usually requires returning them again to the lab to really get the navicular bone in the best position. I would be curious to know what lab they use and the material choices. It's great to know there is a choice at all in CM in case I lose mine. Thanks for posting.
