personchester
Don't forget the negative aspects of the rats which are rather severe, they carry and transmit vital deceases in particular "bubonic plague and typhus" and fleas from the infected rats are the carriers of the plagues and millions of humans have died. Rats preferred foods are meat, veg, grain, that is why they keep their life close to humans in order to get those foods, should they be without food then the kill each other for eating. They are intelligent animals, clever to avoid us, but should they be cornered by us they are ready to fight back, if they are hungry and have no food they will also attack babies to eat their flesh. Therefore keep those negative aspects in mind should rats enter your premises. Edited July 9, 2013 by personchester

They say that eating rats from the rice fields is ok, but rats that lives near people are dirty.
