Public Swimming Pool In Patong or nearby?

Featured Replies

I like doing laps every other day, Is there a lap pool that's not a 200 baht rip-off per day anywhere?

Why don't you buy some land and build your own pool?

Then you can swim for free.

"Why don't you buy some land" - maybe because you are better off getting ripped off for 200 baht everytime you want to swim than getting ripped off for the rest of your life. :) :)

Just because 200 baht per day is the charge and you are not prepared to pay, it does not make it a "rip off".

Anyway, don't know if it's still there but go to Kathu and continue towards the Tesco Lotus interchange. Turn left immediately past the Shell garage and continue up to the end. There's a kind of semi-run down pitch and putt golf place with a 20m-25m rectangular pool. Used to use it myself early mornings - just walked in and said hello to the groundsman. Sometimes was asked for money (about 70 baht if I recall correctly) and sometimes wasn't; sometimes offered money and was met with bewildered looks. Like I say, I'm not sure if it is still operational - it was hardly a thriving establishment.
