TAT invites tourists to Pakchong Cowboy City

Many tourism activities are being held this summer such as the “Pakchong Cowboy City”. The event is being prepared by the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s 1st Northeastern Regional Office.

This event will be held to please people who enjoy the western countryside environment and atmosphere. The event organizer has transformed the district of Pakchong into a classic cowboy city, under the name Pakchong Cowboy City. Last year, this event received many impressive feedbacks from the tourists. This year, it will be held for the second time on April 14th and 15th in Khaokaen Park in Pakchong District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, starting from 18:00 hours to midnight. Moreover, the host has planned to organize this cowboy city project for the third time on May 5th and 6th. Many wild and western-oriented activities will be arranged such as the performances by the cowboys and the Red Indians. Leather products and cowboy decorated items will be showcased and sold here. Cowboy bars are being constructed to add up the countryside flavors in the midst of the vast hills in Pakchong.

For more details, please call the TAT’s local office at 0-4421-3666, 0-4421-3030. You can call Pakchong Municipality at 0-4431-2037-8, extension 211, or call the local tourism agency at 0-4431-2248.

How Thai it is.

What an experience. In the one of the most passive corners of the world that has no features and nothing to show.

They might have but they don't know how to do it.

Shame somebody has led them into this stupidity, they have reached for nothing less than to mimick America. In the midle of their stone age life.

Its not so a bad idea, kids all over the world like to play cowboy and indian, the region is known as cowboy area, chockchai farm has thousands of visitors, pensuk resort is always fully booked.

Yes there is a lot of interest in it from the locals. I have joined the new years eve cowboy party and enjoyed the ambiance, the country music and the activities, made quite a few friends. Agreed most people were thais but better for the economy if they spend their money here than abroad.

As for tourists, its something different instead of visiting musea and temples, not all tourists are from USA.
