Legal actions will be taken against those taking part in corruption

Based on the governments current actions, that should read "Legal actions will be taken against those reporting corruption" whistling.gif

As the psuedo-PM has been rabbiting on about stopping corruption, transparency, justice and all sorts of other pipe dreams since she was elected, this would be a good time to publish the names of all police officers, government officials, politicians and various other corrupt mongrels that have been detected, prosecuted and jailed in the last 2 years. Double points for members of her own party and red shirts.

I have a feeling that it will be a rather thin record, possible even transparent.

"A group of observers...."

I understand. Microchips in the brain of some people, remotecontrol from Dubai.

Well you were close but no cigar.

The microchips are going into the bags of rice.giggle.gif

Corruption: Transparency,

Rome was not built in a day.

GIVE THE LADY A GO...

was there corruption in the yellow shirts gov? YES!!!

some people would whinge if their ice-cream was to cold.passifier.gif

I do believe she has had ample time to start, having been the boss thus far and being part of the whole party involved. I don't believe your joking, I honestly think your comment is a little off the norm.

Give anyone a chance from the onset SURE, but giving the impression that they are doing everything they can to promote transparency, and being part of the SOUP ???

If I had a say, as she has I would have a jail full of screamers inactive for ever.

Speaking of transparency I see where Yingluck's son was chosen to walk out with the Chelsea players.

Out of all the kids in Thailand her's was the choice.

OK I can see through that easy enough.

Now com'on Dolly, don't be a bad sport and pick on a juvenile.

Just because he was lucky and his name came out first in a fair, transparent and honest selection process based on equal opportunity for all. Could just as easily been a newly enriched rice farmer's son from Isaan.

Sometimes reading some post's here is like listening to FOX NEWS, VERY IMPARTIAL, NOT!!!

Perhaps you would like to give us your impartial view of the PTP governments performance over the last two years?

Seriously, I always want to keep an open mind and all views are important in an open forum.

More chance of her son getting a game for Chelsea than any changes here.

Sad that politicians everywhere all still think that people believe everything that they say and never hold them accountable for actually delivering their promises.

How many of the criminal bankers in the West have faced any charges? Banks have been fined for breaking the law but how many of the senior individuals have or will face charges? Probably about the same round number as PTP.

Corruption has many guises, and sadly permeates around the world.

If YL delivers as promised then she really would be a world class leader......................... but that's a very big "if"

Even the most diehard supporter will listen to this and roll their eyes.

Bob Mugabe won the national lottery once, so as fixes go, having a kid walk out a soccer team isn't so bad.

How many times do you get to pass GO in 2 years?

BTW it's lucky she got a Get Out of Jail FREE card, or she would be doing time for perjury.

I think corruption has been very transparent in this country for a long time, only have to look at local councils going to lunch and on the drink when they get money to improve the local areas, they don't try and hide it,so its transparent

Is passing GO when you get money?

How many hotels on Park Lane and Mayfair? I know the rules say 'one', but rules are there to be changed aren't they?

Perhaps the 'Get out of jail free' card is held up in customs. Mind you, if she addressed it, who knows where it's gone.

THE OPPOSITION ARE CORRUPT. THE GOVERNMENT IS CORRUPT.

There, now we've got that out of the way, there's one less axe for you to grind.

During her tenure, have you noticed much activity towards a better Thailand, the people and country?

Plenty of high-profile (and expensive) schemes, but what about 'business as usual'.

Presumably anything good is due to her, anything bad is 'give her a chance' - nothing to do with her at all.

I continue to be amazed at the signs of an economic decline. My very rough guide is the number of retail outlets converted to boarded up 'under refurbishment' sites at Central Airport Plaza CM.

A large bookshop is the latest.

The Government's effort seems to be expended on party-specific, rather than country-specific goals. Namely the (you will be) Reconciliation Bill.

Anti-corruption initiatives must come way down the list of activities, but they make great banners when selecting policies to publicise.

I always find it interesting to see that no one on any political party talks about reforming what is in existence already. It is as if, what is standing already, be it the legal justice system, land law, business law or the such is of such perfection, that it is not to be touched. It is all about the next new grand scheme, when in reality, there are enormous issues with what is going on already.

Couldn't agree more.

Problem with reform is it would neglect those currently in power the spoils that their predecessors abused so much. What a waste of an opportunity for the 'new gang' if there were reforms. This mindset will continue through the futures of many governments too.

YL may be transparent with all her trips abroad when any issue gets tough. But the government she runs is corrupt. Another agency is just another bribe to pay. Everyone in this government has their hand our for corruption money where ever they can get it.
