Lite Beer
Thailand deny Chelsea mascot dumped for PM's sonThailand on Wednesday denied a father’s claim that a boy chosen as a mascot for English giants Chelsea had been forced to make way for the prime minister’s football-mad son.A government spokesman said the list of mascots for Wednesday’s pre-season friendly in Bangkok had been drawn up months in advance, rejecting comments by the boy’s father.“Everything was done according to procedure,” the spokesman told reporters. “There is no way other names were taken off.”The official was reacting to a claim by Kriangyos Sudlapha, who told the Bangkok Post that his son Noppadol, nine, had been set to walk out with the Chelsea players and had already gone through rehearsals. But he said Noppadol and other mascots were then axed, with organisers telling him they had been replaced by Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra’s son and other children of cabinet ministers. Popular Post Neilly
But the official, who did not want to be named, acknowledged that most of the mascots were the children of VIPs or Singha executives. Glad to see that the youngsters are shown how it's done from an early age
Popular Post bigbamboo
Maybe it was just time for a reshuffle. Or maybe the kid's performance was good enough. Anyway, what's so unusual about being replaced by a member of the Shin clan? Edited July 17, 2013 by bigbamboo
Popular Post ramrod711
This is just sad, the privileged take away this opportunity from children. Sometimes this place makes me sick.
hellodolly
She just made a claim that the Government was going to be transparent in all it's doings. Well she is sure transparent in this one. Out of how many hundreds of thousand eligible kids in Thailand her son happened to be the best choice. Speaking of transparency I wonder what she would look like if she was to wash all the make up off her face and just dry it. Just wondering. That would be transparency wouldn't it?

Popular Post aTomsLife
So it's all just a coincidence that the children of the political elite were chosen? The spokesman's claim is just as big of an insult as this disgusting act. Edited July 17, 2013 by aTomsLife
oldsailor35
Name all the kids who were mascots. That should settle the arguement. If it is a fact then i think it is disgusting.
GentlemanJim
If true then it's totally sick. I hope John Terry tells them to bugger off (which if he found out he would probably do).

15Peter20
Well, the kid who got kicked out had already been a mascot in the Man U game, so I don't feel too bad for him missing out on the Chelsea game, but they should have found better ways of handing out the available places. NongKhaiKid
Even if this story is completely wrong it's so easy to believe because of the way this country and those who have clout operate.
