smile.png Good morning everybody,

I m looking for someone who still own a working Powermac G4...yes, the one before the Intel switch !

These machines had both USB and SCSI ports and I would like for 1 last time check my old external HD and Zip drive for some files save. I think i get all of them but...still wondering.

So, I am in Nakorn Pathom province, near Suphanburi limits. I can drive to the surronding provinces on the weekend. So if any Powermac G4 could allow me to connect my stuff for less than an hour it would be very nice.

Thank in advance for anvy answer or advices. thumbsup.gif

I only have a G4 Powerbook here, but it doesn't have a SCSI port, it has firewire 400. I also have a MAC G4 dual processor, it too has a firewire 400, I think it may have an internal SCSI though. The last external SCSI Mac I have is a Powerbook 3400C and a Prototype G3 "Kanga." They are at my house in the US though and I'm in Phuket. Not much good to you, I know, but was just stating what I remember about SCSI port machines.

Thank Jimi007 but yes, only the Power Mac G4 have fW 400 (???) / USB AND SCSI port which explain why i try to find an access to this kind of machine.

I remenber a shop on Panthip plaza, on 3rd or 4th fllor; Newton Computer...which was the oldest mac reseller there but I dind't find back their card and didn't visit this place since 3 or 5 years !!!!

From what I've read is a SCSI card was optional on a Powermac G4. Mine has no external SCSI card, only USB and firewire 400. Maybe a blue and white G3 does. Anyway good luck!

Yes Jimi007, after some reading, I found that you might be right. Almost all Powermac G3 / G4 had a SCSI port in Europe but maybe it was different worldwilde.

I guess i will have to contact each old Mac shop in BKK in ordrer to find a solutions.
