Popular Post Katipo Posted September 11, 2013 Popular Post Posted September 11, 2013 I am sure they are pleased she took the time out of her busy shopping and sightseeing schedule to let them know this. No doubt the Swiss government was very relieved that they can remove this important topic from their agenda and get back to their domestic policies. 5

laurentbkk Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 what are the MEGA PROJECT in project ?
Soutpeel Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 looks like she is trying to flog them more rice Maybe YK is on a fact finding mission as regards the the recent introduction of the Swiss "safe rooms" For ladies on the game there ?
Popular Post NongKhaiKid Posted September 11, 2013 Popular Post Posted September 11, 2013 She may gave thanked the unhappy, defensive looking Swiss gentleman for the help over reconciliation but I'm sure she didn't explain the finer points of PTP's idea of what it is. Does he know all it takes is for everyone to do as their told and agree with all the government says, to stop having rallies and protests as they threaten national security and free speech is only that which is officially approved and criticism will end up in a court ? YL gives these reasonable sounding speeches overseas and no doubt believes her hosts accept every word without considering that the real Thai situation has been well reported on by both the media and each country's embassy in Bkk. 3
Popular Post Thai at Heart Posted September 11, 2013 Popular Post Posted September 11, 2013 (edited) She does understand that whilst the invoices for 10000 went to Switzerland that they didn't physically import 10000 my to Switzerland. Duh..... he just realized that this woman has no idea what she is doing. Next week Lichtenstein and the cayman islands will be approached as the second and third largest buyers on Thai rice. They probably could feed the whole swiss population for 20 years with 10k tonnes. Edited September 11, 2013 by Thai at Heart 4
Misterwhisper Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 (edited) The Swiss dude on the right doesn't seem that impressed, arms crossed angry look on his face He's probably thinking, "What the heck has she just been babbling about?" or "Give them the small finger and buy a few thousand tons of their rotten rice for cattle feed, and they immediately take the whole hand and try flogging more on you." or "Will this photo op meeting never end? I've really got more urgent things to do." Edited September 11, 2013 by Misterwhisper 1
Soutpeel Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 He didn't want to be there.....he had something important to do. Maybe he is p&ssed off....he got told a Shinawatra was coming to Switzerland and he thought her brother was coming to stash a few billion in stolen money in the banks there, instead all he got was his bimbo sister bleating on about rice and reconciliation 2
khunano Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 The Swiss dude on the right doesn't seem that impressed, arms crossed angry look on his face he does that always when he his not in the mood...he is actually quite famous for this particular expression and has even been mocked on Swiss National TV for doing that...

This really is a perfect example of her not having the slightest clue of how agribusiness works. Starbucks buys all its coffee from itself in Switzerland to keep profits there. You think they have warehouses of millions of tonnes of rice and coffee and other commodities in Switzerland? She really has shown herself to be illiterate in multinational business. Great effort. fstarbkk Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 I wonder whether she was able to close that government-to-government rice deal, for 500Kg of spoilt rice with president Maurer, to justify the trip. 1
Songhua Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 PM: 'I am on a tour to assure the world that our reconciliation is going well' Pres: 'Good .... what is it?'
nicton Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 10820 tons of rice is ~1 to 1.5 kg/person/year. Not much because Swiss people eat as well italian and american rice. 1
DeeMaiDee Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 PM Yingluck reassures Switzerland on Thailand's reconciliation attempt and the continued flow of corruption monies milked off the stupid Thai nation by her family and cronies.

I hope that some Thais understand, what happens here. Thousends of tons electronics garbage come into the land, Thailand as swiss bin. Now I understand that the swiss is the biggest trading-partner in Europe, Rolex and trash...
bigbamboo Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Switzerland was never bothered when most of the world was fighting against the Axis tyranny. Why should they care about Thailand's? 1

bkk_mike Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 ...said Thailand was ready to reactivate trade activities with the European Free Trade Association (EFTA).EFTA comprises Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Lichtenstein. For a start, it would probably help in reactivating trade activities if they had bothered to spell the names of the countries correctly. (Lichtenstein is a town in Germany, Liechtenstein, on the other hand is the country that is a member of the EFTA).I'm also wondering why they they have to reactivate trade with these countries. Surely Norway and Switzerland are amongst the richest countries (per head) in the world. Did Thailand have some sort of trade embargo with them?
Nickymaster Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 (edited) The Swiss dude on the right doesn't seem that impressed, arms crossed angry look on his face He is probably wondering: who the hell in my party thought that it was a good idea to listen to her personal problems? Popular Post jaiyen Posted September 11, 2013 Popular Post Posted September 11, 2013 And she has invited Switzerland to invest in Thailand with such projects as a deep water port. Wow ! Switzerland is a an expert on building these. How many does she think they have ???? Time for her to look at an atlas. 3
