Featured Replies

hi guys...........if i need a 60 day visa for december/ januarry, can i go to immigration in jomtien on the embassy in bangkok on a trip before that? or do i have to get it on my home country?

<deleted>...does anyone understand the question? Probably belongs in visa sub forum anyway.

Get it here.

You enter on a normal 30 day tourist visa or waiver (or 90 days if you happen to come from one of certain countries)(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visa_policy_of_Thailand), then fill out a TM.87 extension form available online (http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/en/base.php?page=download) and take it to the Immigration office in the province where you are residing.

They convert your tourist status to a 90 day Non-Immigrant visa. Cost is 2,000 baht.

and if i can get it in thailand would save me the hassle of going to the consulate in my own country

You apply for Visas at a Thai Consulate in another Country.

If you happen to have a Thai Spouse or Child you can get a 60 day extension from Immigration.

This cannot be done unless you meet the requirements for certain extensions of stay.

IE: retirement and having financial proof, married to a Thai with financials and etc.
