Did the annual extension of visa on Tuesday morning

Arrived at the CW office at 08-00, doors opened dead on -8-30

Completed the annual extension and re entry permit and out of the doors by 09-00

That is what I call service and no hassles.

CW sure processed/approved my recent annual retirement extension quick, easy and without fuss....just like they have done every year. I had about a 20 minute queue wait, 10 minutes with the immigration officers processing/approving the extension, done/out the door in 30 minutes...good for another year. I think the longest I've ever had to wait from getting my queue ticket until walking out the door with the approved extension was right at an hour.

The re entry permit was not from the desk that issues the visa extension, seperate queue etc.

That was what surprised me how I did both of them in just 30 minutes - must have been a really quiet day !

Can the op confirm he got the re entry at the same desk as the extension?

I can tell you that you have to fill out a separate form and get a queue ticket to a different desk and it's best to do that at the same time as you fill out your Extension form (saves you going back down later).

Once you have your Extension then get a ticket for the Re-entry desk. It can take from 5 minutes early morning to an hour in the afternoon.

A multi-entry permit costs Thb3,800 so have cash on hand.

I suspect from this and other recent threads that this is probably a good time of the year to get annual extension of stay applications processed speedily since it is the low holiday season here in LOS. Things will probably get a whole lot slower over the next 3-6 months when immigration offices tend to get clogged up with tourists seeking visa extensions, as well as non-imm extension of stay applicants.

I don't think so. Whenever I've went to CW immigration for 90 day address reporting or for my annual extension its always been very busy in all the different areas. The place is usually packed. It just seems they seem to be well staffed and organized now and keep all the queue lines moving alone. If a person has all of their application paperwork in order things should go fast.
