Suranand: PM’s overseas trips necessary

BANGKOK, 20 September 2013 (NNT) – PM's Secretary-General Suranand Vejjajiva has assured the public that Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra's frequent trips abroad are necessary and that documents detailing her accomplishments will be distributed no later than early next month.

PRD wins awards for best anti-corruption ads

BANGKOK, 20 Sep 2013, (NNT) - The National Broadcasting Services of Thailand (NBT) has won an award from the National Anti Corruption Commission (NACC) for its part in an anti-corruption campaign.


The opening of the annual "Chor Sa-Ard Award" ceremony, which marked its 3rd anniversary this year, was presided over by the NACC president Panthep Klanarongran. The awards aim at honoring members of media for promoting anti-corruption measures.

The award was divided into 4 categories: TV series, TV & Films ads, Supporting media, and News or Shows featuring anti-corruption contents.

NBT, this year, won an award in the second category for its television ad. dubbed "Anti-Corruption Spot".

Thailand Innovation & Trade Expo 2013 to be held 25th-29th Sept

BANGKOK, 20th September 2013 (NNT) - The Department of International Trade Promotion will organize the Thailand Innovation & Trade Expo 2013 to create a platform for business negotiations and discussions on further developing trade innovations and presenting environmentally friendly business solutions.


Mrs.Srirat Rastapana, Director General Department of International Trade Promotion said that the Thailand Innovation & Trade Expo will be held at BITEC Bangna International Trade & Exhibition Center during Sptember 25-29, 2013. The expo will showcase the first display of innovations and technology inventions for product and services that take social and environmental aspects into consideration.

The concept is expected to help boost the Thai economy in a new era of economic changes with the help of 7 leading countries in terms of technology, such as the US, China, South Korea, Japan, India and Taiwan as well as European countries. A seminar on creativity and design at the Asia Design conference 2013 will also be held during the 5-day expo.

Thailand's Temple of Dawn to get $4 mn makeover

Irrigation Department confident that heavy rain will not cause a flood crisis
