September 25, 201312 yr This may only help a few people (if anyone), but the latest version of Free Download Manager released a few days ago supports magnet torrents and works perfectly with Chrome.
September 26, 201312 yr Magnet links aren't new to FDM. It was available on older versions, but wasn't enabled by default. Please note: to use the magnet links for the torrent downloads you had to enable the "DHT" option in the Options->Settings-> BitTorrent section in the previous versions of our Free Download Manager. Staring with FDM 3.9.3 1358, the "DHT" option is already checked by default. That's why the users of older FDM versions should manually adjust this setting for magnet links or update to the latest FDM version. ref: http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/board/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=16625 I think because I had FDM for so long, I had to enable the "DHT" option after installing the lastest version. I looked and it was disabled. Thanks, I didn't know that. Goodbye adware torrent clients!
