Noodles and psoriasis.
Pumpkin here is actually a form of squash, kabocha, which is one of the healthiest starch vegetables. Squashes themselves are full of nutrients. Some have more carbs than others, but eating anything grown isn't a problem as far as calories are concerned. It's what's added to them that hurts. As far as your noodles, besides them being high in sodium and fat, like another mentioned, you might have a wheat intolerance. You can make soups with rice noodles. I make them weekly, sometimes a Pho, using a variety of noodles, and adding onion, scallions, garlic, rice noodles, chicken, broth, ginger, coriander,cilantro, fennel, basil and lime. Low calorie, no wheat and healthy. You and others mentioned the gut microbiome. Mine was messes up from H Pylori I got living here. After treatment, and before, I've always eaten very healthy, but after more yogurt, kimchi, pickles, probiotics and collagen.- 1

What Actually Makes You an “Old-Hand” in Asia?
@RSD1 - I am curious - have you been able to attain the music of Thai language? 99% of farang speaking Thai, even the ones speaking well (relatively speaking), speak in kind of a flat voice. Thais almost sing their language. Whenever I record myself and then listen to myself speaking Thai, I am horrified at how bad it sounds. -

Report Thailand Braces for Downpours as 'War Room' Springs into Action
Chiang Rai, some 10 years ago had a large programme of constructing drainage channels, within the city along with a major dam just downstream of the city to control water drainage. Last year the city suffered catastrophic flooding. The drainage channels have for several years been, and remain, clogged with vegetation. Of the 11 "gates" on the dam, only 3 work. They have brought mobile cranes in in an attempt to get some of the rest open. Maintaining the dam and clearing the channels... -
