New map highlights Euro architecture of Bangkok and Ayutthaya

Hua Lamphong Railway Station, designed by Italian Mario Tamagno, is one of the most famous examples of European architecture in Bangkok.

BANGKOK: -- A European heritage map highlighting 65 sites of historical significance in Bangkok and Ayutthaya was launched recently by EUNIC Thailand – the alliance of European embassies and the Delegation of the European Union.

The map takes a look at the rich and diverse historical architectural heritage left by European artists, including the Thai-Belgian Bridge, Hua Lamphong Railway Station, and the Faculty of Arts of Chulalongkorn University. [read more...]
