Apparently this was a very important temple complex in the past and had a royal road linking it to Angkor Wat in Cambodia.

Inside the shrine, it is thought that it once housed images of Shiva but has now has Buddha images.

Up the hill behind the shrine is this carved elephant stone.

Close by is the crocodile stone which some seem to think could have been used for human sacrifice.

There is a new road from Champasek to Phonteng and a regular Song tau to get you there.

Now go plan your trip and include the 4000 islands and Bolavan Plateau while you are over that way

This was not too uncommon site to see, when I would head out to the west coast of Vancouver Island!

Back garden in the UK. Much smaller than the back garden in Thailand, but much nicer. I do love a fine English summer, nothing like it in the World.

Lens used was the Pentax-DA 15mm f/4.0 ED AL Limited. It's a crop format compatible lens which only comes to life between f/8 and f/11. Haven't used it much. Although it's compact for some reason I'm irritated by the thing.
