Is street food good for you? Old rancid oil. Cheap oil. Food dripping with oil.
Sadly I see it everyday on this forum from the usual suspects. -

I Voted Today
I understand how it works. And only 2 states, Maine and Nebraska, aren't winner takes all. Just think if the 'people' picked the president and the 10-15yrs of invade & occupy that could have been avoided, along with doubling the deficit to finance it. Along with all the lives lost, destroyed and or displaced. In the end, no victories for anyone. Well, except defense contractors. -

Feel sorry for AN posters who bought electric
Too many people fell for the "electric cars are greener" mumbo jumbo. They are not. They have just moved the polluting point from the engine to the battery. As a result of the rapid growth of electric cars, there is now a time bomb on the horizon of what to do with old battery packs. Only a small percentage are currently recycled, and many of these are from car accidents where the batteries are damaged and the car manufacturers don't want to use them. . Others are reused or repurposed. But what happens to the ones that are broken down? I saw a video that stated that currently over 95% of old batteries from electric vehicles end up in landfill. Not so "green" when you take that into account if true. -

6 year old boy stripped naked and assaulted by 2 girls in Phuket
A grandmother is seeking compensation after a six year old Thai boy in Phuket was stripped naked and physically assaulted by two 12 year old girls. The girls claimed they were only playing a game of ghost exorcism. The 41-second video when the six year old boy was abused was shared on Thai social media on Saturday, September 28. In the video, the young boy was stripped naked, tied up, and brutally assaulted. Two girls kicked him and beat him with shoes on his body, private part, and head. It was later reported that the incident took place at a school in the Rawai sub-district, Mueang district of Phuket. A local who lived near the young victim decided to visit his home after seeing the video. The boy’s 60 year old grandmother acknowledged the issue and the boy’s father reported it to the Chalong Police Station. The girls’ guardians were ordered to pay 5,000 in compensation to the boy but they have yet to do so. The grandmother also revealed that this boy lived with her after his parents broke up. She had no job and cleaned a temple in the community in exchange for food. A neighbour then encouraged the grandmother to share the story with the media to seek justice for the boy. Chalong Police Station officers insisted that they had not ignored the case. They revealed to Channel 3 that the two girls were summoned for questioning previously. They claimed that they played ghost exorcism with the young boy. The boy played the role of a ghost and the two girls performed the ritual as they had seen it in a film. The girls said they recorded the video to watch later but the video was later leaked and shared on social media. Police added that they also reported the story to the Phuket Provincial Social Development and Human Society to take care the young boy both physically and mentally. by Petch Petpailin Photo via Facebook/ Phuket Times ภูเก็ตไทม์ and Khao Phuket Source: The Thaiger -- 2024-09-30 -

10,000 Baht Government Handout Celebration Turns Violent
This is what happens when they just give money in hand to people. The handout was supposed to be in digital wallet form and restricted against buying alcohol and other unnecessary things. Now they changed that and see the result of it. A result a 7 year old could have calculated. The people in charge in this country are a joke, and it is high time to question both their intelligence and what they remember from their education or if they ever understood what they were learning. If they didn´t like the digital wallet form, they could have used the system for 50/50 payment online they had before, but added 10k and changed that people could but 100% with the given money. That system already have blocking for alcohol and possibility to allow or block other products as well. But, that was probably too easy to understand and implement. -

Denmark Considers Importing Medications from Thailand and Asia to Cut Costs
They probably can't get anyone to produce for the domestic market due to the small size of the Danish market. Sourcing for low cost medicine from abroad doesn't mean the quality will decline as they would usually have a domestic FDA type of organization to approve medicines after checking them. -

Rising Baht Sparks Fears of Another 'Tom Yam Kung' Crisis
- Asian and other currencies, like the Australian dollar, are strengthening against the dollar across the board as market watchers see a potential rate cut by the U.S. Federal Reserve paving the way for Asian central banks to do the same. A rising tide lifts all boats. It's not confined to the Thai baht. -

White Culture
In terms of civilized behaviour, when I enter a narrow hallway in the Virgin gym, and a Thai comes my way he does a gesture of respect, smiles and moves to the side to let you pass. That, to me, is civilized behaviour. If it were England, there is no guarantee the conflict would be resolved in this civilized way. In that sense Thais are more civilized, they are able to resolve issues without violence and aggression to a much greater degree than peole in the West. That is a sure sign of greater civilization. -

So the clue is not passing through immigration like you said then? We could have saved some time. Who is Simone? I know what an immigrant is. Unlike you.- 1
