Featured Replies

hi all, my first question on this site. we live in Prakhon chai, and are moving to a new house. can anyone give advise on internet and tv packages, or is it best to have separate deals. i am from london and want to watch English speaking channels and would also want to download films at times. many thanks for your response. bobby

Google UKTV, Expat tv to watch tv from England. 590BT a month. Need over 3MB internet. If you like your sports. 365sport.

We're moving to the Prakon Chai area later next year and I'd be interested in what you find as well.

First off find out if any fixed line internet is available where you are, it's not a given. Fixed line phone lines, and consequently DSL aren't as ubiquitous as in the west, and cable is really only available in metropolitan area's.

If not, you're down to a 3G mobile connection which has awful download limits, worst still there is TOT satellite.

After that you will need a location masking service to access anything from overseas, I would recommend Overplay Smart DNS, it's not a VPN so you don't sacrifice speed (which will be awful at best)

As for TV, well in terms of English language & HD, Truevisions wins hands down. They are (I believe) the only ones that offer any kind of DVR service, which helps when the internet makes one of it's inexplicable Thai slowdowns and you can't stream anything. If you want any more specifics, IM me
