retirement visa at Jomtien - not same day service ?

I applied for my retirement extension this afternoon and was told to come back to pick up passport after 10 am on Monday. On past occasions i recall it being returned the same day. is this a new thing - or is it simply because it is Friday?

Thanks :)

Not a new thing at all!

I have NEVER gotten my passport back the same day at Jomtien.

However, I always have come in the afternoon.

Perhaps some people who come in the morning get same day.

Cheers.

Yes, applied for & obtained O visa & retirement extension AM, both provisioned at the same time within 30 minutes, 800k baht already in Thai Bank account for the required 60 days seasoning.

If i live in Naklua would jomtien be where i get extension and is Naklua , a place i can mail the 90 day reporting requirement. ?

Not a good idea to mail, and I dont think the on-line reporting is ready yet. I would advise to go to Jomtien.

As I have not used Jomtien Immigration office in 8 years, I have always used the mail in Option for reporting my 90 address report, Never had any problem with the 90 day mail in report.

Since the Nakhon Sawan office opened I simply go there in person or my daughter has been allowed to submit it in my stead, The service before was no charge but now if my daughter submits the report there is a 100 baht free, still a very reasonable price.

I always mailed in my report to the Bangkok Immigration office, Never to Pattaya or Jomtien. Just wanted to state it was always problem free when I used the mail in option.,
