Vietnam Visa From Phnom Penh

We are looking to exit Thailand and cross into Cambodia on the International Bus to Phnom Penh. Does anyone know how quick it is to get Vietnmam Visas at the Consulate there to travel on to Ho Chi Minh by Mekhong Express Bus?

i can't give you the answer you want, but some information nonetheless. i was downtown PP and actually used one of those kiosks. i forget what i paid, but i THINK, not 100%, that I got the passport the next day. 2 days at the absolute max, since I only stayed two nights in PP. I think i only got 2 weeks in Vietnam. so, i didn't use the consulate, but hope this helps.

Have you considered getting the visa for Vietnam from the Vietnamese embassy before leaving Thailand?

You can get it in one day if you show up first thing in the morning.

Most hotels in Phnom Penh can arrange a Viet Nam visa in 24 hours. Usually a $5 service charge.
