Where to take cousin in central Bangkok?

Featured Replies

Gentlemen, a Friday teaser if I may.

I have a cousin arriving next week in central BKK, haven't seen in 20 years, would appreciate some recommendations as I'm not very familiar downtown.

Suggestions (muay thai/dinner cruise) have been studiously ignored so will probably just go Grand Palace, temple and then nice bite to eat.

What restaurants on central BTS, prefreably lower Suk, would tick the following boxes?

- for 3 mid-aged couples

- mid price international/Thai cuisine

- bit of Thai or live background music

- nice scenery/atmosphere

- no ladies ;)

Over to my more experienced bed-fellows, I thank you :)

Maggie Choos at the Novotel on Silom rd is pretty cool. Good atmosphere. Check it out on Google.
