Thapana Sirivadhanabhakdi, chief executive officer of Thai Beverage - the country's largest beverage company, expressed his concern over the intensifying political tensions in Thailand.

As a businessman, he said stable politics would drive the Thai economy forward, to be on par with some other Asean economies.

Seen at ThaiBev Expo, the exhibition to unveil the wide range of beverage products from the company which was opened on Saturday, Thapan said investor confidence is the key to draw foreign investment. If the confidence is shattered, foreign investors could overlook Thailand.

"I wish the politics to resume its normalcy, so that Thailand’s economy could shine in the region," he said.

He noted that if the situation worsens, Thailand would step backward despite its potential.

"A restart after the "set zero" or the shutdown may not come right away, as it’s like pulling the plug. We need to put the jack back in again to retart it. Protests should not be the means to determine anything as Thailand, though able to draw investment, is losing its opportunities. In light of this, investors are turning to Myanmar and Vietnam," he said

No doubt about that. Now the business sector is getting an idea of how screwed up their government is. Even local institutions are pulling out of investment here because of the childish behavior in government, and foreign money pulls out by the billions when there's a mere mention of their nonsense. Now inflation's going crazy & the credit bubble is topped off & they're saying domestic spending can carry this economy.?????????

The political opposition parties are again throwing Thailand into a tail spin that is draining away their credibility with the public the international community and the financial markets.

Meanwhile the Governing party pile wood on the fire to burn the heart out of what little political integrity that the country might have had if they had been steadfast in the prosecution of their responsibility of caring for the Thai people..

The consequences of the behavior of the most deranged all party MP's is set to ensure that Thailand as a nation is at risk of political and economic collapse that will bury the country in obscurity.

Thailand needs a leader of immense wisdom and power to drag herself out this internecine warfare between her political party rapists and their self serving criminality.

How can the Thai people escape from the reciprocal crimes, of their political leaders, against the the homeland of the 'free'.

There's just nothing so fine as knockin' back a few Changs, puffin' some good weed, and then hittin' the ol' keyboard and poundin' out a prose masterpiece of wisdom and prophecy affecting an entire country.
