Lizard in my yard .

Saw this in my yard today in Chiang Mai .About 7 inches long .It did not try to run away as i opened the yard door Is it harmless ?

There are no dangerous skinks or lizards in Thailand. Well, I guess a monitor could bite you if you cornered it, but apart from that all docile.

The Tokay gecko can indeed bite.

They wont let go, so the trick is to run to the toilet and hold the gecko under water, when it need to take a breath it will let go.

I think you are talking about Tockays which are Geckos, not lizards. Harmless and will only bite if handled. And yes, they can bite!
