My elderly mother is coming to Thailand in a few weeks for a 3 month stay, hoping to escape the worse of the British winter. She has just got back from the consulate in Liverpool with what is described as a 'Non Imm' type 'O' entries '5' cost '£50'

Sounds great, but what is it exactly? Has she got 5 X 90 days for £50? I had recommended a two entry tourist visa to her, 2 X 60 days also £50, but this seems better, does anyone know?

I think the 5 is an S which means it is single entry non-o visa which will give one 90 day entry. The 50 pounds is the correct amount for this visa.

Yes a single entry visa providing a 90 day stay which is what she needs so no extension required or exit/return as a two entry tourist visa.
