Air Conditioner Repair - Dark Side

The bedroom a/c died some time last night. The breaker hasn't tripped and I swapped the remote and that's OK and even the button on the front panel doesn't do bugger all so probably electronics or relay. I am on the north-end of the Dark Side, Non Pla Lai area so if anyone can recommend a local air-conditioner guy, let me know. Either phone number or name and/or location.

Ta,

Just a test to see if your remote is working, point the remote at your "phone" camera, push the button on the remote, if it is working you will see the IR led flash on your phones screen.

A handy tip for sure for them with only the one a/c unit... but I used the 'bad' remote to turn on the a/c in another room and then took the 'good' remote from the other room and it still couldn't do anything with the dead-as-a-maggot a/c.

Thanks for the tips; filed for future reference.

As it happened, I had emailed the landlady as they usually have the numbers of traders they prefer to deal with. Pickup with a team of 3 young lads showed up yesterday morning and after much faffing about, they 'fixed' it. There was power at the breaker but no power where the wire came out of the conduit for the a/c unit but they somehow managed. I am pretty sure they just twisted the wires onto another power line as they looked challenged in the domestic electrics department! Put it like this, the wire was open circuit but they didn't replace it or move anything on the breaker panel!

I have been here long enough to know all about Thai 'electricians'.
